Questions?
Quick answers on rounds, stats, launch monitors and your account
Yardages, stroke index, par, tees, or a course that’s been re-routed — if what Tangent shows doesn’t match the course you played, tell us and we’ll get it corrected at the source.
We’re happy to schedule a call and walk you through everything on a screen-share — imports, the dashboards, where the numbers come from — and answer your questions live.
Frequently asked
The yardages or stroke index for my course are wrong — can you fix them?
Yes, though not instantly. Course data reaches Tangent from a specialist mapping provider, so a correction has to go back to the source and be published rather than being edited here. Tell us about it on the course update form — the current scorecard is the single most useful thing you can send — a photo of it, or a link to it on the course’s own site — since it settles yardages, par and stroke index for every tee at once.
Do I need to delete rounds I didn’t finish?
No. Unfinished rounds are automatically kept out of your scoring stats — your scoring average, GIR, Fairways, Strokes Gained and Tangent Four only ever count completed rounds. But the shots you did hit still feed your club distances, dispersion and Gapping test, so an unfinished round is real practice data worth keeping. It shows in Round History marked “Incomplete,” and deleting it in the app permanently removes those shots from your equipment data.
Which launch monitors can I import?
SkyTrak / SkyTrak+, Trackman (TPS), Foresight GC3 / GCQuad, Garmin Approach R10 / R50, GSPro, and FlightScope Mevo+ / Mevo Gen 2 are recognized by name. Most other flat CSV exports import too — we auto-detect the columns, and you can set the source manually on the review screen. The review screen lists every column we matched and every one we ignored, so you can check the mapping before anything is saved.
My club names look wrong (e.g. “Pitching Wedge” instead of “PW”).
That’s expected — some monitors export full club names. On the review screen, each detected club has a dropdown; map it to the matching club in your bag before you import.
Where does imported data show up?
Imported shots merge with your live shots everywhere: Launch Monitor, your Yardage Book, and the Gapping test. There’s no separate “imported” silo.
Export a CSV from your launch monitor
Export your session as a CSV, then drop it on the Import screen. We detect the format, show you what parsed, and let you confirm the club mapping before anything is saved.
SkyTrak / SkyTrak+
- Open the SkyTrak app and go to your Practice / Driving Range session history.
- Open the session you want to bring into Tangent.
- Tap Share / Export and choose CSV.
- Save or email the file to yourself, then upload it on the Import screen.
SkyTrak+ includes club-delivery data (club speed, path, face); the original SkyTrak is ball-data only. Club names export in full (e.g. “7-Iron”) — you’ll map them to your bag on the review screen.
Trackman (TPS)
- Open TrackMan Performance Studio and load the session you want.
- Go to the Shot Analysis view (their help center calls this “How To Export A CSV File From TPS”).
- Choose Export, then CSV.
- When it asks which columns to include, tick everything you can — more columns means a fuller picture, and nothing extra is wasted.
- Save the file, then upload it on the Import screen.
TPS writes a units row under the header and an Excel separator line above it; Tangent skips both automatically. Clubs export spelled out (“Pitching Wedge”, “56° Wedge”) and map to your bag on the review screen. Added from a real TPS export sent in by a member (2026-08-14).
Foresight GC3 / GCQuad
- Open the Foresight Sports app (or FSX) and open the session or round report.
- Tap Share / Email report.
- Choose the CSV (“Shot Analysis”) format.
- Save the attached CSV, then upload it on the Import screen.
Foresight CSVs are grouped into a block per club with an Average row — Tangent parses that layout automatically, including the L/R and up/down direction labels.
FlightScope Mevo+ / Mevo Gen 2
- Your FS Golf sessions sync to your FlightScope cloud account automatically.
- Sign in at myflightscope.com and go to Data, then pick the session.
- Choose Export to CSV (upper right).
- The file always downloads as stats.csv — rename it if you're grabbing several sessions — then upload it on the Import screen.
FlightScope writes direction as a label (“2.4 L”, “1.9 R”) rather than a sign; Tangent reads those, so a pull and a push stay distinct. Face angle comes across as FTT and face-to-path as FTP. There is no timestamp column in the export — don't mistake “Time (s)” for one, it's flight time — so imported shots are stamped with the time you upload them.
Garmin Approach R10 / R50
- Open the Garmin Golf app and open the practice / range session.
- Open the session menu and choose Export / Share.
- Save the CSV file, then upload it on the Import screen.
Garmin reports a single Spin Rate; Tangent maps it to backspin. Club names export in full and are mapped to your bag on review.
GSPro
- GSPro doesn’t export a CSV directly — shot data comes through a connected logger or your launch monitor’s own app.
- Export the session as CSV from that tool.
- Upload it on the Import screen — we auto-detect the column layout.
Double-check the club shown for each shot: GSPro records the club you had selected, which is easy to leave wrong. Fix any mismatch on the review screen before importing.
